Strengthening our market position

Zwijndrecht, the Netherlands, 2 June 2010

Door Ingrid den Hartog - Take over of the Fluid Power division of Anbuma.

Van Leeuwen Buizen Belgium N.V. took over Anbuma’s fluid power activities on 1 June. Anbuma, a subsidiary of the DH-group NV and based in Lokeren, is one of Belgium’s leading distributors of pipes and fittings.

Anbuma serves customers in Belgium, France and the Netherlands. The takeover of Anbuma’s fluid power activities involves, among other things, the stocks in Lokeren and the sales team. It also represents a further strengthening of Van Leeuwen’s market position in the fluid power sector in Western Europe. Thanks in part to its outstanding range of stock products, its knowledge of materials and of technical applications, Van Leeuwen has succeeded in acquiring a healthy position in the hydraulics market.

André Renders, the Managing Director of Van Leeuwen Buizen Belgium, says, “The acquisition of the Fluid Power division of Anbuma means a further expansion of our teams’ knowledge and skills in relation to these activities. This will result in an even wider and deeper range, a higher level of service and a more closely-knit network for fluid power customers in Belgium, France and the Netherlands.”
