Logistics services

Van Leeuwen Precision has a network of offices and warehouses strategically located  throughout Europe. From these various locations our customer base can be well serviced, using specialised forwarding to deliver material. Efficient and modern logistics enables Just In Time (JIT) delivery, both from stock and ex-mill.

As an international stockholder, Van Leeuwen has specialised and international experience and expertise. Therefore, Van Leeuwen Precision is able like no other company to organise and manage the supply chain from producer to end-user efficiently, thereby reducing the total overall cost (TCM management/supply chain management).

Quality assurance

Meeting customers’ demands and expectations according to a set plan and in an effective manner forms the basis of the quality control programs within Van Leeuwen. All operating companies within the Van Leeuwen Group are ISO 9001 certified in order to guarantee products and services of a high quality. A distinguishing mark of Van Leeuwen Precision, is our strive for perfection in quality. This is not only reflected in our products but also in our staff, and the added value that they can offer to really make the difference.

In Europe, all branches are centrally certified by a multi-site arrangement, resulting in a consistent quality system and products of uniform quality. Van Leeuwen Group branches outside of Europe are individually ISO-certified. 

Technical advice

We can provide you the following technical advice: 

• Advice during the design phase about the most suitable material to use
• Product and application information with respect to anti-corrosion. Van Leeuwen Precision translates customer’s requirements into practical solutions. Within the specialised branches, specialists are available to offer advice about the most suitable products and services for your specific application.  

Machining

Van Leeuwen Precision is very experienced in the supply of tailor-made (machining) services due to its extensive network. Custom-made, cut and machined hollow sections and chrome bars can be ordered to drawing, with Van Leeuwen selecting a high quality sub-contractor and ensuring a perfect execution. Additionally, in house, we are able to cut to size, wash and finish our bars and tubes on our RSA cutting machine, in this way supplying the desired tailor-made solution.

Transport and distribution

Short delivery times, selected internationally operating forwarders and carefully selected distribution centres at central locations throughout Europe, form part of the logistical services that Van Leeuwen Precision can provide.

Being part of the world-wide operating Van Leeuwen Pipe and Tube Group enables us to optimise every aspect of the distribution chain. Stock management

Van Leeuwen Precision offers added value, also in stock management. We provide tailor-made logistical solutions, implement these and ensure that they are maintained. Our stock management procedures ensure that stocks are always at the optimal level. By doing so our customers can minimise their stocks which not only cost money and space, but also valuable management time. 

As a stock holding distributor, Van Leeuwen Precision has made stock management its profession, thereby giving the customer full benefit and allowing them to focus on their own core business.

Our unique storage systems enable us to stock a large and wide assortment of precision materials in our warehouses from which we can service you promptly and to your specific requirements. Next to cost savings, the advantages of our unique storage system include more accurate deliveries, more flexibility in ordering options (single and multiple products) and consistent quality of supplied product and logistical service.

Van Leeuwen Precision, being part of the globally operating Van Leeuwen Pipe and Tube Group, is able to tap into the resources of a globally operating group of companies while maintaining the knowledge and service of a local specialist.

The Van Leeuwen Pipe and Tube Group was founded in 1924 and has since been actively involved in all sectors of industry. Within the group, the various operating companies, specialised in steel pipes and tubes, hollow sections, bar steel, and components combine their expertise relating to logistical services and supply lines. Therefore, not only short supply lines of quality products can be guaranteed but also competitive prices and an extremely wide product range. Consequently, specific material requirements by customers that fall outside our normal stock range can be easily catered to through our international sourcing network.
